The winners of the Framing Australia's Wildlife Competition meet Bindi Irwin

Our four winners meet Bindi Irwin

Over 100 children from around the Sunshine Coast have shown their support for wildlife conservation through the Framing Australia’s Wildlife Competition for youth, raising money for Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors’ major project, the Australian Wildlife Hospital.

Children have shown inspiration through their artworks to help spread the conservation message on the Sunshine Coast, with four lucky winners receiving some awesome prizes, including a meeting with Bindi Irwin!

The standard of the entries received has been extraordinary and it just goes to show that our younger generations are really getting the conservation message! Wooo-hoo!

We also received a number of letters accompanying entries that showed how passionate young people are about our wildlife and the environment, and their willingness to help save our wildlife. We even received an entry all the way from Florida in the USA! The message is certainly being spread far and wide.

Check out our winners:

1/ 4-7 years category - Victoria Lawrence (Noosa Heads) “Frill Neck Lizard”

2/ 8-10 years category - Jai O’Hara (Cooroy) “Sun Baking Coastal Bearded Dragon”

3/ 11-13 years category - Megan Thompson (Buderim) “Proud Pelican”

4/ 14-17 years category - Chloe Henshaw (Buderim) “Trio of Rosella’s”

The competition was run in conjunction by Complete Framing’s Noosa and Maroochydore studios and Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors. The competition was supported by WIN, Zinc FM, Sunshine Coast Daily, Greenprint and Australia Zoo.

Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors would like to thank each and every entrant for helping us to raise funds for the Australian Wildlife Hospital, and for being so compassionate towards the welfare of our wildlife!
